images (54)E-commerce start-ups have identified a new way to differentiate themselves from the already cluttered online spacethey’re giving customers a chance to turn entrepreneurs through their platform. Apparel brand Freecultr, which operates both online and offline stores, recently launched ‘FREECULTR Express’, a crowd-sourced design platform that allows people to create and sell t-shirts through their tee-store without investment in inventory, operations and logistics.
Freecultr gives designers the liberty to set their own selling price from the standard band, with no minimum order requirement. Some of the topmost designers have already earned more than Rs 1 lakh each per month from the platform.
Another recently started e-commerce venture, Saiesta. com, has successfully signed over 500 women sales associates across India, mainly from the smaller parts towns, to give them an entrepreneurship opportunity, which for them has clicked in a big way.
You just have to introduce your acquaintances to Saiesta’s collection and you get paid for each time they shop there.
Industry sources feel that this kind of initiative can help the brand get good publicity without making much effort, as the individual working on their platform is going to push the brand among their friends and families too.
The platform provides an opportunity to thousands of individuals (raisers as the company calls them) across the country to experience creative entrepreneurship with absolutely no prior experience or resources and make thousands of rupees every month by designing and selling their own T-shirts online.
